I have never tried powerbraking and actually am too chicken to try in front of the crowds at the track. When I race I just drive around the water box, back up a little, then put in drive, tcs off, and floor it, tires spin enough to clean off any rubbish then I stage for my run. I have read that trying to heat up street tires is useless and a waste of rubber. Is this true? I let my friend take a run in my car and he did a huge burnout yet his 60 foot was no better than mine. I always get a 2.15 plus or minus a hundreth.

You NEED TCS OFF, and is your car bone stock? If so, it will take your car quite sometime to build up the umph to pass that 3k range.. stock autos are pieces of **** from the factory.

Yeah I've heard that road tires don't make much of a difference when heated! As long as they are warm enough you'll be fine!! I do see a difference with the drag or race tires though!

I also think that with road tires it isn't going to make much of a difference on times either!
