Default FRPP TB Installed, Dynoed

It's real pretty. Car drives better. Gained 7 hp and 26 ft.lbs.

Old dyno:

New dyno. Higher numbers are with 3.250" pulley. Lower numbers are with 3.375".

Pics of the TB. The Whipple intake almost matches the frpp bores. A slight countersink on the intake and it would be perfect.

Hey Bruce...Congrats and very good choice with your Whipple. It was a little pricey but well worth it for me too. Easy install and absolutely no driveability issues after dyno tune unlike some other TB's I need not mention. Have fun ...!!!

hey BruceH, are the hp/tq gains after a retune, or just
simply after bolting on the TB.

A few things were changed in the tune but nothing major. I had just a little bit of throttle tip in stumble before swapping the tb. It was slight, only under certain conditions, and most wouldn't of been bothered by it but since I was there I mentioned it and he tweaked something in the tune. He explained it but I can't really remember what it was, whatever he did worked.

I was able to drive the car down there with the new tb no problem. It idled and drove real well. Nothing major was tweaked in the tune.

My tuner did say that most are getting more hp gains than I did when using the frpp tb.

ok i'll probably get this throttle body too, i know you
don't just pee money away so it must be worth it. i'll
probably swap mine out the next time i have the intake
off (like when i reinstall my cams).

Very nice results Bruce, looks good too. Where did you pick it up? I'm about due for a new mod and Father's Day is coming up soon. :-)
