Well actually I think the ones who say they get less than 16 are simply crazy.

SilverR1 - I feel your pain. My daily driver is a 2000 Lincoln Navigator that averages 11-12 mpg [:@]

Wizard and Sowaxeman-
I too have been only adding less than 12 gallons at a time. In fact, today I had the warning go off on the way to work so on the way home, about 9 miles later, I added 12.58 gallons. Of course I was holding the nozzle at the 3 o'clock position. It sounded like it was filling up and shut off as the sound went up a pitch. I don't think I've got more than 200 miles per tankful yet... This thing holds 16 gallons? i guess the question is do I really have several extra gallons in reserve or am I not topping up?
Can someone with a spare gas can do a run and find out how many miles a GT gets after the warning comes on?

I have the faulty gas tank - but refuse to let the techs tear into my rear end to replace it. I run my tank pretty damn dry - and when I fill up it cuts off at 11 or 12 gallons. After that I can "top it off" very slowly and get it full with another 3-4. Sure its a pain - but at 1000 miles per year, do the math - only 5 or so trips to the station. I can live with 5 slow fill ups
I must say - my IUP sure seems to be accurate. Last fill up at 12-14 mpg - it told me I had 25 or so miles to empty, which should calculate to 2 gallons. When I filled up - I put about 14 gallons in.
