Default Ford Racing GT500KR Axleback

Well I am now in the running for an exhaust...er axleback...and I'm looking hard at the FRPP GT500KR Axleback, Ford Racing PN: M-5330-S...I got a quote from the dealer because I'm trying to stick with this whole keeping my warranty thing, and it was $950 installed!!! So i found it on buyfordracing.com for $499 and I could do the intstall myself since its just clamps but I was curious if anyone has this axleback? How is the sound and drone? Pictures? Im looking for loud, I'm waiting on the dealer to get me a quote on the Mac axleback installed also but im not sure what to do yet.

I haven't heard the new KR in person but I believe in loudness they are in between the GTAs and the stingers but unlike the stingers they have no drone. MACs sound good as well but they are notorious for drone. I don't know how bad the drone is with an H pipe, but my set-up (catted X and 12" resonators) doesn't seem to drone that bad. The set-up for me, even with resonators is still loud enough. I drove past a parked car cruising at 35-40 and still set- the alarm off.

well...if gman is correct, that they are somewhere between the GTAs and the stingers, then they are perfect...I have the GTAs and will never change them (or so i thought) because hearing the stingers were a little loud (cruising) and i am/was totally **** about drone...If a touch more sound with no drone = KRs...count me in...Something I will look at...

It won't void your warranty for your car putting on an exhaust..It only would effect the warranty if the exhaust was the cause of whatever went wrong. They would have to prove how and why the exhaust made whatever go bad. Buy it online and install it yourself save yourself some cash. I love the look of the Krs as well.

Well i talked to the performance parts manager at the dealer i go to and he basically told me that an axleback would not do anything to hurt my car and would probably never be used in a warranty case (just as i suspected) sooooooooo i went right to buyfordracing.com and ordered the KR exhaust for $499 with free shipping. I can't wait for it to get here so I can install this bad boy!
