Default Programmer purchase for my 08 stg 3 427r. Need help!

I need some opinions. First how will these work with the 4.6 supercharger? Should I expect the same hp numbers or better? Also what model. I want a small unit with display and shift light. I also want to know what I should look for should I buy used. Thanks for all the help in advance!

After some research last night I found that Roush does a tune at the factory. Is there any benifit to a diablo tuned Livewire unit? I understand that this may be a dumb question but it has been a while since I had a stang. My last was 14 years ago. She was a beautiful 2.3l 4 cyl that I had in high school.

Anyone want to help?

The handheld is just the hardware used to install the tune(s). Who writes your tune will determine any gains. Best bet if you're SC'd is to find a dyno and what handheld they support, assuming you want the most from your engine. Most mail order custom tunes are close but often not as dead-on as an experienced guy on the dyno can get.

If you need to do a Mailorder Tune I would check into Justin at VMP Tuning. Instead of just going with just a Handheld Tuner with his Custom Roush Tune I would suggest one of his $829 500 bhp upgrade kits which includes SCT X3 Tuner w/ VMP Custom Tune, Steeda/FRPP 90mm CAI, 2.57" Blower Pulley, 90mm Idler Pulley.

FWIW most of the big tuners only use SCT, if it were me that is the only brand i would be looking for. As far as a tune for a roush, i would put nothing caned on that car. Those are all assuming stock induction I would imagine. the dude at VMP can do a mail tune for a SCT, he said tune only will get you about another 20whp and 20tq, the tune and sct with him are in the $450 range. A tune and pully change will take you up to around 500hp at the crank.
