To be honest, I don't like the way the 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 sounds stock, but it sure does not out-way the performance of the car. Do you think after more aftermarket parts come out, I can get it sounding like a raw muscle car?

My Roush exhaust sounds pretty mean. I had a guy in an '09 Shelby follow me into the gas station just so he could find out what setup I was running. The Borla and Magnaflow axle-backs sound pretty nice as well.

It's kind of funny that 05-09 exhaust is desirable as 05-09 owners want their car to sound like the previous generation mustangs.

Yeah I was listening to the Borla's but they just don't have that full out muscle car sound that I'm looking for. Do you think I could get the 2011 GT 5.0 to sound something like this.........

Short answer--No.

The 4v will never sound like a 3v, just like a OHC motor will never sound like a OHV motor. You may be able to get it close but it wont be the same.

I was thinking the SAME thing.
To be honest I think the 5.0 needs a little nastiness added to the sound.
I'd see if SLP makes loudmouths for them yet.
If not.. I'd wait till they do and slap some of those babies on when they do.

I LOVED my SLP's with my otherwise stock setup.
The 5.0's sound cleaner then the other S197's and FOR SURE quieter to me... so I think even those that did not care for the loudmouths would like them on the new 5.0's.

Funny, I thought both the V6 and 5.0L's I drove today had a pretty good growl in stock form compared to the '98 and the '92s and '85 I owned previously.

Thanks for answering all my questions buddy, lol you always answer my post so thanks. And I am really torn between the 2009 Mustang GT or the 2011 Mustang GT 5.0. Question, do you think after the aftermarket catches up in a little, the 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 will be able to sound really nice and deep and raspy? Something near the 99'-04 or the 05-09 years?
