Dont take it to a dealership with a lake across the street....
The circuit redundancy in the throttle pedal assembly has
a big safety margin built in. Its gotta be in the PCM/TUNE.
Blipping the rev limiter is not that bad for that ol V8.
Its designed to PREVENT damage, not allow it to happen...

Those darn floor mats have been known to cause throttle
problems. Check the floor mat hook on the drivers side
for proper engagement with the floor mat...

Ha ha ha.

I had an Escort GT years ago that had the gas pedal stick to the floor. Turned out to be the floor mat. I agree with the others, check that first.
