Default Crash car value?

First let me thank you all for allowing me to post my questions.

I'm newbie here from NJ with a question on a cars value. A friend of mine works at a Ford dealership in Ca. one of the (now former) salesman wrecked a new Mustang 5.0 GT while out on a lunch run.

The reason he is a former employee is that he had a DUI and at this dealership you automatically go on the "Do Not Drive" list for 3 yrs. as the dealerships ins. co will not cover those drivers. So now the dealership has to cover the cost of the accident out of pocket. A Mercedes was involved as well and 2 others were injured.

Anyway I digress, what would be the value in your opinion of this car once it gets repaired? Keep in mind if it is a total loss I will not buy it and if the frame is damaged I'll be skipping it also.

I figure the car new listed for about 35K it is now used and has been wrecked bad accident but my friend has not seen the car yet.

What would you expect the value of this car to be when they try to sell it?

Thanks to all in advance!
