Exclamation PCM relearn process help.

I cant find the steps for the pcm relearn

I know you disconnect the negative bat. terminal and wait for 10min at least.

Im not sure if you run it the first 5 minutes when it is back on WITH the air conditioner then turn on the radio

or without the air conditioner then after 5 min let it run 5 more with the air and radio on?

Thanks for the help!

I don't know how it is for your 2006, but it may be in your manual. For the 2011 it is 5 minutes to warm up, then an extra minute with the AC on. Hope that helps.

I'm at work and don't have the pdf of the '06 OM here.

Man, we're going to have to all chip in and get you either Ritalin or Valium. I think you need to relax a bit and take a step back. That car is going to be the death of you. LOL!

I don't have time to look, but is it in the service manual? http://iihs.net/fsm/?dir=1

Easy. Unhook the battery, depress the brake peda for about 30 seconds to drain any remaining power, wait a few minues, hook the battery back up. (Oh, do this after the car is warmed up...here's why) Drive it like you stole it for a few minutes. (This will tell the computer that you drive it hard, and will act appropriately) Then just drive normally. The PCM will learn over time and will "know" how you drive. It works, too! I've done it before on my last two cars.

One slight problem with that SPD, for the adaptive learning that is correct, for IDLE that doesn't help.

For Idle,

Let the car warm up to temp, then idle for one minute. Turn on the A/C to MAX and the fan to MAX, then let it Idle for one more minute.

Then, drive it like you stole it

Yeah, I knew that. I forgot that part until you corrected me. Oh well, as long as he gets it done! (Of course, it could be the three mega-cups of coffee I had just before I posted!!)
