Exclamation SCT X3 Owners. Need Some Help.

Is there any way to backup the tune you have on your car if it is NOT the stock tune and download it onto the SCT?

Perhaps I could trick the SCT to download it as the STOCK tune?

I think my tuner lost my backup and I want it as a backup before I
get a fresh new tune just in case.

Thx.

That had nothing to do with my question.

I need to know if I can dowload the tune I have on my car to the tuner and how.

Also... how do I put the tunes I have on the SCT on my computer?
I see a menu for saving the stock file on the computer using the SCT device updater but no menu for saving the other files that are on the tuner onto the computer.

I don't get it.. there is a menu for loading a custom tune file and transfer file to device.
They seem like the same damn thing because they both want you to look in your computer for a file to upload.

I'd be interested in that as well. I know you can save the stock tune to a file on your PC once it's downloaded to the tuner, but I don't know how to save the custom tunes. Where did the tune come from that's on your car now? When I originally ordered my tuner it came preloaded and I wasn't able to save them once I received new tunes.

I went to SCT... can't find the answer.

Oh and Bruce...I'm glad that I made your ignore list just for saying your answer had nothing to do with my question. Good to know you get offended and act like a child so easily. Congrats right back at ya for being so immature.

Anyways.
Still looking for help if anyone can assist me.
And thanks in advance!

My tune I have on now came from a shop.

The tune that is on your car now will be removed for the new one. The tuner doesn't know if it is stock or not. It just knows that it is removing it and flashing another one

Hehehe.
I am not flashing a new tune on my car.

I just want to download the tune that is currently on the car onto the SCT.
That way I can save it onto my computer as a back up.

Also I am wanting to take the tunes that are on the SCT and save them onto my computer.

There is software available for download on SCTs web site which will allow you to back up your stock tune to your computer once its been copied into the tuner during the flash process.

Custom tunes seems to be a one way street. From the computer into the sct. I got my tunes into the computer via an email attachment.

I think that getting your backup factory tune back into the tuner involves booting the sct into a maintenance mode for which the instructions call for a call to SCT support. I have never had to play that card though.

Sorry I can't be more help. But the device seems to be limited that way. On purpose most likely.

From what I can see in the documentation and the SCT web site, there's no obvious way to save the "custom" tunes that were preloaded when purchased.
