This was a brand new tuner.
And he has a great reputation.

I switched for that very reason and the problems I had before.

TPS sensor is something I'd suspect.

It's not the mats.

I just cleaned the TB... I know it's a long shot but I'm trying it before I call the shop tomorrow.

I just made another thread about unplugging the battery and the relearn process.
So if someone reads this instead can you tell me what exactly the process is?
Im not sure if you run the car without the ac and radio on for 5 min, or you run it WITH the ac on for the first five minutes and then turn on the radio...

Or if the radio even makes a difference in the process.
But... I just got done cleaning it.
I couldnt take it all the way off because i did not have the right size for the nut so I just had to spray in inside and use a rag. I did get quite a bit of black stuff out though and cleaned both butterfly sides and all in there too.

If this doesnt help im thinking its somthing with the tune or my entire TB is going bad. I have read of these cars doing this when they go.
I just find it weird this happened a few days after a brand new tune.
Im so frustrated with all the problems I have had i just want to pull my hair out.
Radio makes no difference

Welcome to the world of Drive-by-wire throttle!

The more technological things become, the harder they are to resolve in a simple manner.

Remeber that the next time you people (not you specifically) think the Mustang is too "basic" or "behind the times" because it doesn't offer a Remote start or push button start mechanism or some other gizmo...

i had a similar issue on my 05, but no where near that bad. there is a process for reteaching the ecm throttle position from the pedal. it has something to do with a key sequence and then slowing pushing thepedal from all open to WOT with the car not running so it can relearn the full pedal range. it helped me a bit. I never had that issue until loading a brenspeed tune on my 05 and hen it was a problem for a while. It finally sorted itself out after cleaning the TB and teaching it the pedal range.

Tuner has been sending me emailed adjustments today.
Problem is almost all the way solved.

One last adjustment should do it all the way.
Will post update!

Ok. Calm down. This is the same thing that happened to me. It probably does it slightly different in each gear and also varies with RPM. You need a tune adjustment. It could involve spark, fuel trim and dashpot, but most likely a dash pot adjustment.

I bet after it was tuned you didn't go on a road test with the tuner? You should have. Call the shop and explain. Your car won't take off unexpectedly or turn into a Toyota.

Call the shop before freaking out anymore.

Ask him what he adjusted. Wonder if I was right. . .

Yeah, exactly! What is the deal? When I take my foot off the throttle, I want there to be NO THROTTLE! Ugh.

Simon1, I get where you are coming from with your "cool down" and "don't freak out", but this poor guy has had just about every weird and crazy thing happen to this car. The man can't even enjoy the thing because it keep doing random stuff that no one can seem to fix. Yeah, it looks like he is flipping out, but geez. He's probably about ready to take a long drive off a short pier with the bad luck he's been having.

Blacksmoke, I cannot offer any advise, but I really hope for your mental well-being that I don't see any more threads like this from you! I think you've struggled enough with this car! Good luck!
