Default Air bag problem

Hi folks,
I'm from Brazil, and it is my first time here.
I've bought a 2010 GT premium last year, from a independent import company, because Ford doesn't sell mustangs over here.
The car has 3000 miles, and last month, it started to light up the air bag readiness light every time I accelerate really hard, and remained on until I turn off the engine.
The problem got worse, and now it happens all the time, even under lighter acceleration.
Yesterday, I took the car to a Ford dealer, and for my surprise, their computer was able to read the car system, but not totally.
It only diagnosed a "internal control system failure".
It didn't give us any code or number for the problem, or even for the "damaged part".
The guys at the dealer didn't have a clue (as expected), then I went to Fordparts, and found a lot of monitors, modules and sensors for the air bag system...
I have no idea what to do, and really need some help from you guys.
Thanks a lot.
Bado.

Your restraint control module has failed. It is not repairable. Replace the module and have the dealer reprogram the new one, and you should be good.

Hi Mr. Ski.
I went to another dealer last week and they came up with this diagnosis:
Description - U3000
Failure - 49 (internal electronic failure)
It matches what you just said (thanks a lot for second opinion), the problem is that this failure should be covered by the warranty, but once my car has been exported to Brazil, I just don't have a warranty anymore!!!!!
Do you, or anyone else know a way to claim for that warranty?
thank-you again.
Bado.

The only suggestion i have is trying to contact Ford directly. I work in a Ford plant and repairing things like this is my job. U3000 is a code that is a faulty module out of the box, and of the 7000 vehicles we build a week, it is not uncommon for me to see this once or twice a week. It is most definately a manufacturer defect from the vendor who supplies this module to us, and they have to buy back every one of them from us. I would contact Ford somehow and plead your case if i were you. You will need a Ford dealer of some sort to program this module for you, so that will need to be addressed also.

Hi Mr. Ski.
This is a very important information for me!
Now I start to believe I have a chance...
Thank-you so much again.
