As much as I like the taller sidewall of the 45's, I'd go with the 285/40's simply due to remaining closer to the stock OD. And you'll want 255's up front.
I just stuck some 275/40ZR18s on my 18"x8.5" 50mm offset
polished aluminum OEMs and the hook-up is much better
than the 255/45ZR18s I took off of them. They have a few
more revs per mile that OEM size tires but I didnt notice it.
Okay, just sold my Saleen 20", still wondering whether to go with the 295/45/18 or the 285/40/18 FR500 in chrome. Would the bigger wheels look stupid on a white convertible?
Very limited selection for one thing.
Can't beat the Nitto's, I have been very pleased with them to date and glad I went with the 295 everytime I look at them
