Would that be cured with a more powerful battery then?
Get a bigger alternator AND battery?
I will need upgraded wiring not to cause and engine fire though right?

Your wiring will remain the same.

The alternator can be taken off and tested. You can try a more expensive battery but most likely the OEM works fine. The battery can be tested too.

Clean the terminals and drive it. See what happens.

I had the same code for a while. I was driving normal one day and stuttered like I was tapping the gas multiple times. Pulled the code, and first thought was just clear it and see if it comes back. Haven't heard from it again. But have seen the Misfire code more than once, I need to give bama a call and send another set of tunes.
I installed a pioneer recently also but can't recall the model number off the top of my head. No problems thus far.

Got everything tested. It WAS the alternator.
Turns out they have changed the ones they are using in these cars FOUR times since I bought my car and the parts guy was astonished mine lasted so long.

Got it replaced with the latest one.
All is well.
Now to reschedule that tune adjustment!

Yup, was also going to say alternator. Mine started throwing P0340 codes when the voltage would drop low enough while the car was still running. Alternator fixed it.
