Since you are in he Houston area, doesn't HPD play dirty tricks with their lasers by only zapping you at the last second so that your laser detector does not have time to warn you you have been clocked?

That is new, I never knew a GPS to also be built-into a radar/laser detector. I seriously might look into getting one of those.

I have the Passport 9500ix. It tells you when they do it, but it is the last second.

Am i the only one that thinks the placement and style of the spedo sucks, i cant tell exactly how fast i am going, looks like im going 70 and im going 65, think they should have put a digital display on these cars like the Camaro. I have to leave my GPS mounted just to be sure i know how fast i am going.

Hold the reset key down and then turn your ingintion key to the on position. The readout will read "Entering demo mode" and then all the lights on the dash will come on. Then just press the reset button until the "Vehicle Speed" section comes up. Its a pain but I have have used this sometimes when my eyes are tired.
