Make sure that when you buy a car you use logic and not emotions. I aint saying its easy but it takes a lot of patience and time to find the right deal. Impulse purchases are very dangerous. I am currently driving a 2006 Mustang GT which i bought last year. It only had 15 thousand miles, one owner, and never winter driven. The car is fully loaded and no mods expect for a cat back Borla exhaust. I bought the car for $13500 with a safety and an emissions test. I have since dropped a good 3-5 stacks on the car for mods and I am happy with it. The other day Saw another 2006 blue GT with similar mileage for 15 or so. So they are out there, you just have to expand your search net and be patient. Good luck

To me $25k would be a "gotta have it" price. I would agree with Jim and go with the 20-23K, its a bud so meet in the middle at 21.5K and boom...done deal! Looks like a sweet setup, good luck.

Jamaman has a good point. $18k is where I would buy. I bought my 06 GT with 15k miles 18 months ago for $15.5k. I have put nearly $10k in mods but it isnt worth any more money. You get so much more car if you buy a new fiveOh. Forget the seller is a friend, money is money.

I'm estimating that he most likely has close to $7000 in aftermarket parts including labor, having the appearance parts painted, etc.. Maybe even higher. Most all sellers I've checked in to are asking $21,000 and up for a 2008 GT/CS with the same miles or higher than the '08 mentioned has. Thanks again.
You're not stating how much he wants for the car. You're just asking for our opinions. It's much easier if you state how much he wants and for people to say if it's a fair price or not. I paid a little over $18k for my pre-owned 2006 a couple years ago, tax not included. Now you are a few years later and with a 5.0 on the streets. Asking price is asking price, you can haggle under, you're not making a very good comparison.

you can get a brand new 2010 for cheaper than 25 and you can get a brand new 2011 for less than 30. Go with new

20-23K. 2011's killed previous years prices. BUT, if you were to do the mods yourself like I am you might as well go up a little. In reality what's the difference? Pay 19K spend 7K for similiar mods or pay 24K and save 2K already modded. I wished I would have waited and bought 10 or 11 model Like previous post stated.
