Mustang GT Premium 2006
Hey Guys,
So I'm a junior in High School and I found a really nice 2006 Mustang GT. The entire car is perfect, with under 50,000 miles on the engine.
HOWEVER the car was broadsided, and I believe both rear sides need to be replaced along with the rear axle which is in half.
How much could all the work run me? I plan on buying the axle for about 600 hundred dollars so what do you think i'll pay a body shop to install it?
And how do I go about both rear quarters?

I would steer clear of it personally.

Agreed. If it's bent up then the performance will almost certainly be permanently compromised, let alone the safety. I'd pass, personally. Save up & get a nicer one - will be the better deal in the long run.

I could understand a younger guy wanting a newer Mustang and the only way in is with a repairable.
How much does the seller want for this car?
Looks like you will need a visit with the frame alignment shop, both rear quaters & a rearend. I would start calling the Auto Body Shop Schools.....the teacher/students love Mustang projects like this!!! Your expenses wouldn't be that much....the school supplies most of the materials. Rear quaters are $500 a side, rear bumper cover $150 and you have a rear for $600....the school might get the quaters cheaper. It's worth looking into if you get the car cheap. Good luck

It probably also has a salvage title, otherwise the owner would of had it fixed by insurance instead of sitting in the driveway.
Lots of work and if it's not done properly, would be a huge headache in the future. I would still pass IMO.
