Default Bama 87 Octane Perfomance Tunes

With the price of gas (91) at over $4.50 here in Cali, I was wondering if anyone is running an 87 octane performance tune from Bama? Also, how does compare to the stock programming?

Thanks,
ken

Any AM Bama tune is better than Stock.

I can only speak from an 87 Street Tune on an 08 GT Auto tranny. Totaly different car with the this tune over OEM. I am never going back to stock.

Throttle response is quicker and the power band feels more in the midrange as opposed to the top end.

Right now I'm back to stock but I've been very happy with the 87 Street tune, it feels better than the 91 Performance tune, much more bottom end grunt. Quarter mile wise they are almost exactly the same, with a slight advantage to the street tune. Derf00 is right any tune is better than stock.

Ok, lets say that average difference between 87 and 91 is .15c a gallon.

Over the course of a 16 gallon fillup (don't know the exact size of the tank right now) thats a difference of $2.40. With the right tune, you DO get more power out of the 91 octane. Unless you fill-up 3 times a week, IMO its not worth complaining about the higher prices of premium and just use the good stuff to have more fun.

The Bama and Brenspeed 87 custom tunes kick azz over the OE tune.

At the moment I am running a Bama 89 Performance.. I also have 87 Street and 91 Race. To be honest I cant tell the difference between stock and the 87 street. As for the 89 and 91 tunes.. whoa.. total difference.. like the other poster, I will never go back to stock again..

It's actually about a .30c a gallon on average and I fill up around twice a week. I guess the best thing to do is get the tune and try it out.

Been sayin that forever. I knew when I bought this car this could happen (93 was 2.27) and the difference is still only about 3 bucks.
