Looking pretty stock to me...minor rake going on which is stock-esque.

looks stock to me. However if you look at the springs most lowing springs or after market springs will have part numbers and logos on them. And that will better help you identify what kind they would be.

Stock springs are black. Most, if not all, aftermarket springs are colored something else, IME. At least the three different sets of springs I had were red, blue, and gold.

It doesnt have cc plates and the springs are black. maybe its settled over the years. It doesnt seem as 4X4 as some of the other stock S197s i have seen.

I would measure the ride height and compare it with a car that is not lowered. I'm sure the specs can be found online somewhere. Perhaps the previous owner cut the rear springs a bit to get a lower ride, "On the cheap".

I've always wondered if mine was lowered too. Mine might even look a little lower than yours. I have seen many pics where some have that 4x4 look. Mine does not, nor does yours. I do have black springs.

Measure from the center of the hub to the fender on your car vs. another stock GT and you'll have your answer. That will take any tire thickness or wheel size out of the equation.
