I raced a 2SS LS3 camaro from a dig when my car was bone stock. It wasn't close. 3 length easy by the top of 4th. We raced from a roll (taking launch out of it) same result, at no point did I stop pulling him. Stock the car ran 12.7 @ 114 on the Brembo pirellis
2004 SY Cobra, Pulley, CAI, Exhaust, Baer Brakes (458 rwhp & 479 rwtq) New Turbo Project
2011 RaceRed 5.0 6M; Brembo's, HIDs, Security, & 3.73s; 738 rwhp & 531 rwtq - Installed - Procharger D1SC Stage II, Boss 302 Intake, ARH 1 7/8 longtubes, Magnaflow Catback, Amazon Racing tune, BMR lowers with brackets, adjustable panhard, double adjustable upper with mount and sway bar relocation, H & R race springs, JPC Line Lock, and M & H front runners and slicks
To be honest and unbiased, both cars are very even. Stck bs stock both will run the same. It all comes down to the driver. In the bids posted earlier inthe thread, I bet if you make the drivers switch cars, the camaro will winning.
I ran one a few weeks back when I had my car and the SS really didn't impress me at all. I didn't plan on racing but he took off so I had to see what my car could do. I'm not sure if it was an auto or MT because I was already past him before he shifted in 2nd.
The mustang has a pretty steep first gear compared to the Camaro if I'm not mistaken. If he took off first and you were already past him before he got out of first, methinks he may not have been going all out.

Vehicle: 06 Black GT,08 Black GT500, 09 Metallic Silver V6 (wife's car)
Location: North Idaho
My 06 GT ran a 298 rwhp pull...I have taken 2 Camaro's and lost to another one each by about a fender...I have not been able to bait one in with my Snake ... I am thinking a 5.0 should take one rather easy...
My wife has said she is wondering when she will be in the garage and the GT 500 will be in the bedroom...I tell her thats just crazy...there is no way to get the car up the stairs!
There is NO problem that can't be solved by the simple application of more Horsepower!!
