I am taking my 11 gt in for service this week. I have tunes using SCT. I have returned to the stock tune, however I read this in the owners manual:
Service data recorders in your vehicle are capable of collecting and
storing diagnostic information about your vehicle. This potentially
includes information about the performance or status of various systems
and modules in the vehicle, such as engine, throttle, steering or brake
systems.
Does this mean they will be able to see that I have used a tuner on my car?
I am getting my second oil change and will have them check shifting issues(rough shifting 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd).

They will not be able to capture any previous changes--as long as you have returned the program to stock.

Really? I heard that there was a log kept of ecu flashes... could be a rumor.

If you're sweating it that much, just have a non-dealer ASE certified shop do your service. It will cost less for the same work. As long as you state what mileage service you need, they will go through the necessary checklist for the service.

They can see when the ECU has been flashed, but they can't tell what has actually been done to it.

If they ask you about it, you left your headlights on and your battery died. Simple as that

Yes they can tell your ECU has been flashed, they can tell idle time, speed rpm ranges for a few key cycles. I didn't notice if you have a manual or auto. If manual there is no need for them to hook up an IDS so I wouldn't worry.

yea they can see if the ecu has been reflashed but like previously stated what it was changed to is unknown. chances are they wont ask as theyll see the stock parameters but yea the lights on thing works. if ur that nervous just have someone else change your oil, prob alot cheaper.

Unless you are having engine problems I don't see why you are so scared of the dealer knowing you have a tune?

Heck, my dealership expects people to mod their mustangs and even has a team that puts on FRPP parts.
