Angry 2011-2012 Mustang Creaking Front End

On our trip home from Diamondback Saturday my front end started making a bumping, creaking noise. You could feel the bumps in the floorboard. Going slow over speedbumps yielded great noise and stares from others in the parking lot. Quite embarrasing for a new car.

I saw a thread on AllFordMustangs yesterday and it indicated several people were having issues with lower control arms. So I took my car to the local dealership today to have it looked at. Sure enough they are replacing the lower control arms. All this with less than 500 miles on the car. Ordered them today, should have the parts in a day or two.

I couldn't find a thread here about the 11's and 12's, hope I am not rehashing an issue everyone has heard about already. Here is the link the the AllFordMustang thread -

Do you have the Brembo brake package? I remember seeing people with Brembos having this problem, I'm not sure why but a couple people mentioned the creaking, particularly over bumps.

At least they got your LCAs replaced though which should solve the problem. I'm surprised though, I have over 8500 miles on my 5.0 now without any creaking or odd noises to report

I've done one LF arm on a 12 with standard brakes no other 11's or 12's have come back for this issue.

My car does not have the Brembo brake package. They are replacing both. Look forward to getting it back, heading to Myrtle for Mustang Week (last two days actually) and don't want to run it on those creaking parts.

Sparta, any issues with driving the car with the creaking? Is it safe? I ask this just in case it happens again.

I get a thunk from the right front going over speed bumps. I was going to have them check it out when it went in for an oil change, but forgot about it. I'll have to have them look at the LCAs next change.

I noticed the same 'clunk' over speed bumps the day after I got my '11. I took it to the dealer last Friday and they ordered new LCAs. The parts will be in Tues or Wed this week. The service adviser told me they have done a few of these already.

If its LCA's Im not worried I was planning on replacing them anyways. On mine it sounds like its from the drivers side front and is kinda embarrassing being that it is a brand new car. I wonder if I regrease the zirk fittings if it will quiet down?

Just got my car back from Armstrong Ford in Hickory - I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with their service department. In on Monday out on Tuesday.

For reference the TSB on the lower control arms is 11-07-08B.
