Default Forgestar Inquiry

I inquired about a forgestar dealer near me over here in California. They said the same, a 4-6 week build time. Im going to bite the bullet anyday now and order my set i just dont know if I want the f14's in piano black or matte.

BTW congrats on your order for a 2012. I have never ordered a vehicle. Bet its feels nice knowing everything on it is just the way you wanted it. Good luck.

Next Tuesday will be the 4 week mark from when I ordered my wheels. I'm gonig to call Forgestar and check the status next week. I called Ford Customer Service last week, they really coudn't tell me anything so I'll wait about 2 weeks and call them again.

Make sure you get something out of it if the car is later than was promised! A stereo, free sirius upgrade, window tint, something!

Called my vendor to get an update on my wheels. They tell me that my wheels are due for powdercoat this week/early next week. Hopefully when I check back in late next week they will be powdercoated. Time will tell.

Today is the 4 week mark from when I ordered.

Thread went this far without anyone asking this question?

Manual or Auto?

Called my vendor to check on the status of my wheels today. I was told Forgestar is backed up on the powdercoating process, "looks like another 2 1/2 weeks".

The 9 week mark has come an gone. Apparently there was a problem with the powdercoating so the wheels had to be re-powdercoated. I applaud Forgestar for doing the right thing and making sure the wheels are right before they ship but the wait time is terrible.

The wait continues...

Talking

Well I am finally a 5.0 owner! I couldn't wait till Christmas for Ford to decide to build the Ingot I ordered. I found a Performance White GT that was optioned exactly like I wanted just days before it hit the dealers lot.

I made the deal on Labor Day weekend so I was able to take advantage of some Labor Day specials on top of the Ford Rebates. I took delivery on 09/11/11.

The day after I took delivery I called American Muscle and ordered the "List" of stuff I wanted. I will enclose pictures of my current mods in another thread.

Here it is in stock form. Sorry for the "average" quality pic. Mid Level camera and a Novice photographer at best....

Meet "Kasper"

Completely stock as delivered....modifications started less than 24 hours after I got it home.

I will keep this thread updated as I wait for my Forgestars to arrive.
