I'm looking into getting an exhaust for my 07 GT, but I've never purchased an exhaust before. I like the sound of the Stingers from youtube videos and American Muscle's site. I hear that they drone a bit though. I've never really been in anything that droned at all, but I hear that most people don't like a lot of droning. My car sounds great like it is, but I really want that sexy exhaust note that an aftermarket exhaust will give me.

I guess what I'm trying to ask is whether or not I should get the Borlas, and what else would you guys recommend for me to take a look at.

theres a lot of different axle backs out there
these are a few of my favorites:
borla
KR mufflers
SSS terminators
Mac Boomtubes
Pypes midmufflers
Roush offroad
Mac
MBRP

that ought to get you on a good start. check out youtube for exhaust vids.
you should also look into a off road mid pipe and LT's, but axle backs are a good start.

I like my Borlas, a lot! They can get a little noisy inside around 1800 rpm, but not bad.

The stingers drone around 2k or so, its more noticeable in 4th and 5th gear under a load, but I love the sound and don't mind the drone

Hack Job

I got rid of most of the drone by lining the trunk/under rear seats with some cheap dynamat type stuff and a layer of 3/4" carpet padding laying down between the spare tire & the trunk liner insert.

One can still enjoy the exhaust notes when you step on it, but the drone is virtually gone.

I like mine a lot. Bought mine used and the last guy got ride of them cause of the drone. In all honesty its not that bad. Just a really really deep exhaust not at about 2kish when just crusing.
