Seems to happen quite a bit with our stangs. Mine is always telling me it's on E when I know for a fact I have at least a quarter tank left.
Just keep driving. Sometimes the needle will slowly move back up. Or once you shut it off, then back on it'll fix itself.

Across three full tanks, my *06 GT* gained an average of 1.2mpg with the UPR CAI and UPR/SCT tune. OF COURSE, it drinks more fuel at WOT than it did with the stock tune, but for some reason it really does get better gas mileage now.

In my state, the ethanol requirement was just dropped this week since summer is officially over. Not only did gas prices drop drastically, as much as $.50 per gal, but I am getting slightly better avg MPGs.

But next year, when summer hits in May again, my state will force gas stations to put in ethanol and gas prices wll rise again and MPG will drop again.
Every single year this happens and it pisses me off.
And the corn industry is a damn racket. The corn growers purposefully do not grow enough corn for ethanol production or they block out many corn sellers from selling their corn for ethanol so ethanol prices artificially inflates.
I talk to corn growers all the time, and they complain how they cannot even sell their corn because there is a "glut" in the corn market such that they cannot make a profit.
Yet gas prices could be easily kept low in summers if those guys were allowed to sell their corn on the market. And the additional amount of corn would actually help lower beef prices too.

Sorry, just a rant I have seeing how stupid expensive gas prices rose with ethanol requirement only making it worse.

its possible that you could be getting better mileage with the tune and the CAI it says on their site that you could gain a MPG or 2

Using the JLT CAI and Bama Performance 91 Race Tune (no 93 in California) I get about 1 mpg better around town and about 5 better on the freeway.
