Well with the new 5.0's running the 1/4 in 13.0 @ 110 MPH I don't see where it is a slacker. Comparing the GT @ 30k against a corvette @ 50K is not a fair comparison. Try a GT500 for a apples to apples comparison. The 5.0 I tested put me back in the seat @ 3500 RPM and kept me there. Maybe you need to try another test vehicle.

I know that I definitely need to try another one. However the LS3 only has 18 more horses than the Coyote and they should be comparable. The "small" Hemi challenger puts out about 360hp/370hp and the auto Camaro is at 400 flat. On that parking lot the Mustang was second and should have been somewhat close to the Vette. I know it gives up some horses and pounds, but that is part of practicality. I love renting vettes but would not buy one. Too small and cramped. I also couldn't imagine driving one in snow.
Over the next six months I want to try to get a feel for Mustangs and Camaros.
Keep in mind its a rental and probably has been living on a diet of crummy gas, has no tune, and lest we forget: September in Las Vegas is ****ing hot.

WAY too hot for me! Several times the A/C was struggling with 95 to 97 and enthusiastic driving.
