Default Bama tuner vs REAL Dyno tune

is there a big difference between getting my car tuned off my SCT tuner via BAMA and taking it into a shop and having it dyno'd? after some recent work I got my SCT updated for the new parts but the car feels a little off... throttle response is more laggy and the power just seems non-existant at certain speeds, rpms and/or levels of throttle... can I call Bama and have them send me a tune a little more tailored to my need or a Dyno the way to go?

the mods I'm referring to are UDPs and an O/R mid-pipe... I'm feeling a lag in power around 1/2 - 3/4 throttle where the car is making noise but not really accelerating like I feel it should. what are the thoughts on the forum? and does BAMA check this site out? I know UPR and AM are on there

Bama is AM tuning division and yes, they are on the boards. You only really need a dyno tune if you running a heavily modified car, ie supercharged or turbo. A Bama or other quality tuning place will do you fine with an email tune. They can tweak it as needed.

Hey Grandpajay!

Thanks for the inquiry!

Yes, we are on the boards

Remote tuning with datalogging and fine tuning cars via email is something we do very well and is what would be ideal for your modifications.
Our Tuning Specialists would write a file based on your specific parts list and get you running the way you want to!

Also, we'd be able to turn off your o2 sensors for the O/R mid-pipe if you haven't already!

LMK if you have any specific questions and I'll be glad to help you out!

GrandpaJay, there are different parameters that my Tuning Specialists need to see for different cars, so please call them directly(phone number is in my signature) and they will be able to walk you through step-by-step.

I hope this helps!

Please let me know if you have any questions in the future!
