Default parking lamp issue

The front passenger-side parking lamp on my new-to-me '07 doesn't work, but the bulb does flash for the turn signal. I switched the bulbs just to isolate the bulb as a variable, but the problem remains.

The car was hit in the front end before I got it, but it was solid and clean and a good deal so it didn't matter.

Any ideas about what could cause this if it's not just a messed up wiring issue from a faulty repair?

Thanks in advance for any insights.

Thanks, 05GTon94 - I'll definitely check that out...once this winter storm passes. I appreciate the info!

You do realize that there are 2 different bulbs in the parking lamp?

Yeah, I thought it was (what I would consider) a dual-element bulb; that's why I switched bulbs from side to side...but both bulbs worked correctly on the driver's side, but neither illuminated for the parking light.

I haven't had a chance to connect a meter to the harness yet, but I hope to be able to do that soon now that DST is upon us and the frigid winter weather is hopefully behind us.

Thank you for the thought, though, Nuke!

One of those is the parking/running light, the other is the turn signal IIRC (I have 4 cars at the moment and had others over the past few years. SO hard to keep track...).

Yes, I think that is correct, Nuke.

To be clear, I should have said that neither bulb illuminated for the passenger-side parking lamp - so, the evidence points to a wiring issue of some sort.

I'm thinking about wiring from driver-lamp harness to passenger-lamp harness to get power to the passenger side.
