Summer tires on the Brembo package
I have max performance tires on my 2012 GT Brembo. The owners manual says they are not recommended for use when the temperature is below 40 degrees. Has anyone had any bad experiences using these tires in colder weather? I like driving the car to work every day and havent really noticed any issues with normal driving in some of the 30 degree weather here in Georgia. Any experiences are appreciated.

Last winter my summer tires were OK. This year they are close to the wear indicator and have zero grip once the temps drop to about 35 or less. You can still drive, just be very careful especially as the tires get older. Today I lost traction in third gear at about 1/2 throttle. Got passed by some little ricer because I had no grip at all. I'm sure he thinks he's all that now and is telling all his friends how he killed a 5.0 Stang.

cold streets make your summer tires wear faster, as well. In georgia, you'll probably be fine with short, cool winters either way. But if you head north into snowy areas, expect to have somewhere between zero and no traction.

Thanks for the comments guys. Will continue to drive it down to about 30 degrees and take it easy in the cold weather. Cant wait for some 80 degree weather so can open it up and not be worried about a traction issue!!

Braking grip is the one you worry about.
Grip while accelerating away from a stop light while turning is what you'll most likely notice has gone away on you first. Either you'll feel it for sure (traction control off) or I think a dash light will flash if you leave the TC on (I shut TC off just so I get to feel these things and know what's going on).
Pay attention to this warning sign ↑↑↑ . It's not lying to you.

It's been off and on 40-45 all the way to 10-15 at night this winter so far. Traction is #1 lower the colder it gets. I haven't seen any snow accumulation, and I hope I NEVER do again. The rear end breaks loose a LOT easier now, expecially in corners.
Just drive normally and you shouldn't have any issues. Normally....as in like a "NORMAL" average Joe in the winter...not "Normal" as in how people NORMALLY drive when there isn't anyone around and it's 80-90 outside.
That is confusing. Just drive 5-10 mph slower and you'll be just fine. I'm still a bit scared of accumlating snow. I haven't had a chance to get the 4wd fixed in the truck!!!
