Nope, a new tune isn't necessary. Just un-bolt your stock CoPs, toss these bad-boys in and go! It's that easy!

something seems amiss here. the baseline run showed a peak of 379 hp and 329 ft-lb. the run after installing the CoPs showed 384 hp and 333 ft-lb. this is only an increase of 5 hp and 4 ft-lb, not the 10 hps + TQ's the dude in the video says. what gives? and, if the increases are in the 5 hp, 4 ft-lb range would this not be within the variability of the system already? that is to say, would you be surprised to see these small gains just from one run to the next without making any changes whatsoever?

Do we have a dyno for 05-09 by chance ? I don't recall seeing Accel claim a HP number other than indicate it increases.

i assume that peak numbers only went up a few, but further back in the graph there is a larger difference, at lower RPM

The increase in HP and TQ #'s that are claimed are throughout the entire powerband numbers, not flat peak power.

Just because the car makes 379 hp and 329 ft-lb (peak) stock, then 384 hp and 333 ft-lb (peak) after the coils, does not mean that it didn't pick up low to mid-range power at different rpms.

10hp could have been picked up for a number of reasons. I really doubt the 5.0 is lacking in ignition power. My .02 anyways.

Just another thought: the advertised power and torque increases could be what is estimated to be at the flywheel, not through the drivetrain and out the wheels.

Also, as Maraman said, the gains advertised could be over the integral of the areas under the curves as compared to stock.
The mean gain under the curves over the entire bandwidth could fall into the advertised gains.

Granted, for the vast majority of us simpleminded folks, we don't know calculus or none of that other crap, so we unfortunately assume wrongly that it means 10 hps + TQ's on top of stock peak HP and peak torque
