GO WHIPPLE AND 373's! lol

To answer your question. 410's will affect yoru gas mileage. Probably a couple miles per gallon. 373 will too but not as much. To give you an idea. 70 in 5th gear your probably around 2k rpms. with 410's your probably be around 2500k rpms.

Idk if that helps but good luck on your mods and have fun!

I changed my gears to 410's and then took a trip from indianapolis to atlanta. 12 hours drive and I got 24 mpg and that was hand calculated. The only mods I had at the time was cai, tune, and then the 410's. So alot of people say it effects your gas mileage but not really. Certainly it will if u have some spirited driving but if your taking a trip and your staying off the gas 410's will net you good mpg.

I still have 410's, torque converter, stage 3 saleen, cams, and can still get almost 21 so u will be fine. With this setup and a heavy foot and spirited driving then it goes down significantly

It will only be ~1mpg diff so go with the 4.10s. In the scope of things that's not much of a difference.

honestly, the difference between everything from 3.31s to 4.10s is not really that noticable unless you do all of your driving above 65mph. I've never understood why it was such a big deal.

I have 4:10's and I saw my gas MPG drop considerably. But not cause of the gears, cause I hammer the throttle whenever I go anywhere since the car winds up so fast!

Keep your foot out of it and it won't go down much.

I don't know if you guys have run any simulations in Cartest but I spent hours messing with various HP levels, gearing, etc. The 4.10 gear seems to be the sweet spot on the S197 GT assuming you can hook up decently. Anything higher or lower had worse times 0-60, 1/4 mile, 1 mile, etc. You will lose a little in the MPG area but I think it is a small price to pay since it really makes a huge difference. If you are going to be running epic-hp (800+), if I remember correctly, then going with 3.55-3.73's would be a better bet. I'd need to run the sims again to make sure.

Have never noticed any significant loss with MPG and my 4.10s.

Seriously... Stay 3.55's if you supercharge your 302B. You will run corvette z06 power, but don't have the tire to back it up. 4.10's will ensure you won't hook at all, 1st is already useless with 4.10's when N/A...
