Default GT500 Axle Back

Been looking into exhausts for my car, and I found a guy on Craigslist selling a pair of 2008 GT500 axle backs for only $50. Claims to have taken them off after only 500 miles. Just wondering if it seems legitimate/worth it... I can't seem to find any videos of 05-09 GT's with them and $50 seems kind of low.

Thoughts? How will they sound, etc?

I believe the OE GT500 axlebacks are only a tad louder than the GT OE axlebacks whereas the FRRPP Stingers are a good bit louder. But if you're only looking for a modest increase, then for $50 you're not losing much if they don't suit you.

Also, don't expect ANY performance gain, no matter WHAT axleback or catback you use.

I saved mine with less than 100 miles on them but I am not sure what they are worth?

Up until the 2010 model year the GT500 used the SAME mufflers as the GT with an automatic.

Nothing special about them, not even the rolled tips like on the appearance package.

So OP since you already have GT stock mufflers you will just be buying another set of stock mufflers.

The $50 is the correct price for them - but I'm surprised that is all he is asking since most ask much more because of the Shelby GT 500 connection and people will pay the big bucks because of it (I should go ahead and sell the side skirts off my V6 because they are exactly "the same as installed on the Shelby GT500 in 2008 and 2009")

I was afraid of that... Couldn't find the part number anywhere so I wasn't sure. Thanks, guess it's back to the hunt. Know where I can find cheap Corsas? XD

Cheap and Corsa are two words rarely used in the same sentence. Good luck scoring those.

I just bought some Nxt Step Performance axelbacks off craigslist. Took a chance and man do they sound great. Stainless steel and cheap off of ebay too.
