Got FR500 Rims Powder Coated Black...
Hey guys,
I havent posted in a while but I thought I would share my experience for those who are thinking about powder coating their rims. Im in MD/DC/PA area and it was actually kinda hard finding someone to do my rims. Also some people were charging wayyyy too much for this process. There arent any shops in near Baltimore so either way it would be a little mini trip to get them coated.
I can across Elite Powder Coatings, there are based in Hanover, PA. From Baltimore its about a 45min drive(nice drive thru the country side of MD and PA), anywhere south a little more. They did a really good job on my rims, they werent in the best condition so there were a few blemishes. You would need to get super close to see them tho. The price was very reasonable 250 for a set of 20' rims, and they mount/balance them for 40 bucks more. I have a set of the FR500 rims, they were the black chrome which started to peel off. I decided to go with a 20% Matte Black and couldnt be happier.
So if anyone in the area is looking into this, or just want to spice up the rims or any other parts, check them out.
