Amsoil for trans and diff here.

there was a magazine test a while back that compared a bunch of different brands' diff fluid and trans fluid and only Mobile 1 and Amsoil actually held up to the claims of the companies. i'll see if i can find it....

Royal Purple Synchromax here as well, definite improvement over whatever came out of the stock tranny (63k-ish miles).

Royal Purple has downgraded the quality since it has
been sold in trade store like Advance, Pepper Boys, The Zoner,
Napa Vally, O'Reallys and such.

Amsoil is only available thru Amsoil or a licensed Amsoil dealer.
You will not find it sold on eBay unlike RP has.

I run the Amsoil Synthetic ATF in the tranny
and 75W-140 SEVERE GEAR in the rear differential.

And that's why they will always be a niche market. If they did sell it in one of the chains, then I might actually try it, probably not. There is such a thing as good enough when it comes to oil.

I went with Royal Purple Synchromax in the transmission. It seems to be a huge improvement over the Mercon V. Transmission noise has gone down severely. Had already changed out the synthetic 75W-140 in the rear end and have been running mobil 1 synthetic engine oil since I purchased the car three years ago.

As usual, thanks for the advice guys...
