If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? It doesn't sound like you have much driving experience, why not consider a V6? They are plenty fast and have over 300 hp. If you are fairly young, you'd save a bundle in insurance as well. Just my 2 cents......

Don't mind at all, I'm 23. I have plenty of driving experience, as I would travel back and forth between OSU and Akron a few times a month for several years, at 4 hours a trip, I just don't have any time with a high performance vehicle, and no time on a track. Highest torque vehicle i've been in is a Mazda CX-7, but I only really opened it up in that car once, to no problems at all.
Fastest I've ever driven was coming up from Columbus with a group of random people, ricer looking cars (not bashing, just best description I can come up with), and a couple other previous generation sports cars. One flew past me, a couple more joined him after getting on the highway, a couple more, and then I joined in, we were traveling a bit shy of 100mph for most the whole trip home. This was in the Celica.
I actually investigated the insurance, I was told me insurance would only drop about $37 after I turn 25, or whatever that age cutoff is. Also, between the 2013 v6 and v8, there's only $6 difference in insurance. I was quoted at $151. And while I've had no accidents, or hit anything that's not a car, I do have a solitary speeding ticket from '09, which raises my monthly by $40.
