Unreadable display on Xcal 2
I have a bit of a dilema and I'm looking for some input, so here we go...
I have an SCT Xcal 2 with an unreadable display. This is the second time the display has become unreadable, costing $60. plus S/H to have it repaired the first time.
My dilema being, now I can't restore my Mustang to stock, nor can I recover my stock tune without having the unit repaired again.
The only engine mod is a JLT II CAI.
The options I think I have are:
Buy a new tuner and live without the stock tune.
Take it to the dealer, have it flashed and return the intake to stock, then leave it stock or get a new tuner.
Questions I have concerning the Xcal 3:
Can the stock tune be backed up from the tuner to an external device?
Has there been issues with displays going bad in the Xcal 3? (or any other issues I might need to know about)
Thanks
