Gear change ?

Gear change ?
I'm getting ready to bite the bullet on a gear change kit. I've noticed that AM has the kit offered with 3 qts of RP oil and LMR offers the kit with 2 qts of RP oil and 1 bottle of FR friction modifier.
From what I'm understanding the friction modifier is only needed with traction-lock rear ends.
Mine is a 2012 GT manual with 3.31 gears. I am unsure if it is a traction-lock unit and if I need to use the friction modifier?
Also some of these kits come with the old style inner pinion bearing which they say will work in the new style.
Is it worth it to spend an extra $50 on the new style bearing?
Thanks

how much does the rear end hold?

actually i got the RP from summit. LMR doesnt carry the right weight. Also the kit you reference doesn't have the frpp install kit. I paid a little more and got the frpp one.

Are you going with 4.10s on a 2012 GT? You may want to go test drive one with 3.73s before you make your purchase. First gear is lower on the 6-speed 2011+ GTs, so I have heard that 3.73s feel like 4.10s on a 05-10 with the 5-speed.
I test drove a 5.0 GT with 3.73s and it felt like it had too much gear (too low). I decided that 3.55s would be better for my driving style. A search will produce a few threads about the gearing difference between the 5-speed and the new 6-speed transmissions...

change of plans...went with the 4.10's instead and here is why:
i found the kit the poster listed above on ebay from blue oval for about 233.00 total...all ford racing parts.
i have to buy the oil though. i think im going to go with amsoil since thats what im running in my engine and tranny instead of the royal purple.
im still undecided on which weight to use...the factory spec 75w140, or run a little lighter 75w90?

I just installed a new differential cover yesterday. I used two bottles of oil and one 4 oz bottle of FM. I started to pump in the third bottle and the fluid started to drip out the hole. Poured all the used oil back into the empty bottles. It was the same amount.
