Drake Differential Cover Install

Drake Differential Cover Install
After two years of racing it was time to swap out my differential fluid so I decided it was a good time to upgrade to a cover that at least had a drain plug. Got the Drake cover through Blue Oval Industries. I think it was around $125.
Took off the old cover, drained the fluid, cleaned things up and got the new one installed. Pumping in the new fluid with a hand pump pretty much sucked. Nothing like laying on your back working the pump.......it was agonizing slow. LOL Filled with Valvoline Synthetic and some friction modifier. Was gonna go with Royal Purple but at $23 a bottle, I passed.
The Drake cover does use 3 different size hex nuts with its cover. Make sure you have them handy or its back to the auto parts store. Ask me how I know? LOL
Since I was on a roll I decided to install my DG Custom difuser as well. A CS/GT bumper would be great but since I am too cheap to buy one this will suffice. It really completes the look out back. For $69 its well worth it too.

Looks good bro, I like the diffuser. I got mobile 1 dif fluid at my local dealer, and they said they dropped the oil pan on a explorer with Royal Purple after like 4 thousand miles and it had the viscosity of water. I know this is only 1 case, and it's engine oil not dif fluid, but I didn't want to take a chance and mobile 1 has always worked well for me. After my gears I swapped fluid again and I didn't have a pump, damn that took forever lol.
