Default GT500 wheels from LRS?

Has anyone puchased GT500 wheels and tires from Late model Restoration recently? They are currently on sale. I've been wanting these wheels a long time. All of the ones I've seen have charcoal gray inserts, but the wheel inserts on the LRS site look black. I'm wondering if they've changed to black now? I prefer the look of the gray inserts to the American Muscle copies that are black.

Also, the tire package is 275/40-18 Nitto 555. That seems awfully wide for the fronts. Any thing good or bad to say about running that size on all four corners?

The way the picture looks online shows it being black. That is from the angle and the lighting from when we took the picture. The inserts of the wheels are the dark charcoal, and not the black.

275's fit without any problems. If you want to run a smaller tire up front, then we can make that change for you. If you have any more questions, please call our sales team at 254-296-6500.

Thanks Jarrod. I will be placing an order with you guys. My wife has given me the green light. Gotta love her! Have to decide on tire size. I noticed CJ Pony does their kit with 255/45-18 all around. The 255 is closer in overall diameter to stock than the 275/40. I really want to run the same size all around so I can rotate, so just changing the front size is not an option. What do you think about running all 255/45-18?

Sounds like a plan. Give us a call when you get ready to order.

That would be up to you. I think a 255 is a little to skinny, but that's just my opinion. We can make the change if you want though, that's not a problem.

Thanks Jarrod. Still trying to make up my mind. I figure the 255s would look about the same as the set up on the brembo cars, which just looks right to me. I may go with that. Will try to get with you later today if work permits.

While asking questions on here to decide on my order, the sale expired. Damn the luck. Hopefully another sale will come along soon.

Props to LRS. One of their sales reps gave me a call and took care of it. They've earned a long term customer.
