Some items dont warrant removal for sale.
Biatch to install longtube headers falls into this catagory.
Its basically a tax write-off.
Like driving it off the lot and its worth $2K less instantly.

i only pulled my driveshaft since its worth so much even re-sold and takes fairly little effort. i left my 4.10 gears, cai, udps, cmdps, and tune on, and window louvers and shorty antenna. i think i got the same price whether it was modded or not.

Yeah, many get turned off by a car that's modded. They're not sure if it's been done correctly, or was driven hard. Also what problems may pop up if the changes weren't done right.

Your best option is to sell yourself to someone who trusts that you took care of the mods better than they would

I agree with the majority. I have owned my 05 gt for less than a year, and when I was looking, as soon as I saw that it was modded I automatically started thinking of if they were done right and how hard the car was driven/abused by the owner. I would definitely return it to as much "stock" as possible IMO.

I would at least try find a buyer that understands and appreciates your mods. I sold a '96 F-150 with s/c and lots of other tasteful mods for >$4k over blue book retail and saved myself the time, cost and effort of replacing everything to stock and risking breaking something that would cost $$$ to fix.

I was one of the few who got lucky... I sold my 05gt with all it's mods and sold it in 08 for only a couple thousand less than what I had invested in it including the original price of the car.. But I just happened to find an extremely interested buyer on eBay who paid me exactly what I wanted.. But I was lucky.. As most have said your usually better off parting out and returning to stock unless you find that right person..

Now if ya want an 08 gt500 with over 750 hp babied and never tracked w some dd miles on it.. Let me know I'm looking into buying a 13 gt500 possibly and my car can be had for a good deal...good luck with all

Thanks Cheftjpeck, Good luck on your 13, I wish that I could manage a new 13.

I'll at least try to move my GT as is, it's a darn good car and tastefully modded.

I've recently started browsing the Shelby section more often so I look forward to the reports of your new car.
