I thought 2011 front seats were the same as 2006. What's the difference.

I have recaros in my 2013, I love them but my wife hates them, she is 5'0 tall so her head rests against the plastic seat belt holes in the upper back of the seat. So she made a leather pillow to fit between the holes and keep her head off the plastic......

hey thanks everyone for the input. I'm 5'8 140 Ibs. so I fit very comfortably in the recaros in the evo, so I assume I'll be fine in the mustang's recaros.

For $1600 I can think of a lot of other mods I'd rather have than recaro seats, but if money were no problem I would surly check the recaro seat option if ordering a new one.

'06 side bolsters are that much poorer than the 2011 seats. I'd really like to get the Recaros through Ford Racing, but have to work up the justification to plunk down the $2500 for them. The thought of Corbeaus keeps popping in my head, but driving around with my passenger seat out for only two days and having the air bag idiot light staring me in the face makes the justification a little easier.

OP, if you're contemplating getting them for a 2013 purchase, I echo what others have said: Go for it unless you're either portly or a stick figure.

If you don't need the heated seat option, and are looking for good support in spirited driving, get the Recaro
cant disagree with that JimC, love my heated seats.

You should go out and sit in a Mustang with the normal seats if you can. I test drove a GT with the stock seats and was very unimpressed with them. They were comfortable for sure, but IMO they honestly felt like they had the same level of bolstering that the seats in the Sienna I currently drive do. It's very possible that I didn't have the seats adjusted right either, but I was expecting much more bolster on the stock seats. Although I don't have my car yet I sat in the recaros at an auto show and really liked them both for comfort and they fact that they made the car feel faster.
