I've been thinking about getting the CAI+tune kits AM and Steeda has, but I'm not sure the CAI will make a difference. Did yours make a noticeable difference after installing the CAI?? Thanks.

This thread was created over one year ago by me lololol. It was concluded that the first 5.0 I drove was a premium with 3.73 gears. So the 3.33 gears on a stock 2013 felt slow. Plus I didn't know about the standard hill assist on 2013s. And as stated, my v6 was tuned so obviously the throttle response was different.

Summary: gears make biggest difference, tune also significant, but I don't personally think they change the acceleration as much as gears.

So it looks like you never got a GT...
I was right then about the gears. Mine has 3.31's and generally feels like a turd. I need to get them swapped out. I hope I am at least getting good fuel economy with these.
Does anyone with 3.73's know what RPM they are at, at 60 mph?

Mine is turning roughly 18-1900 RPM in 6th gear.

You can change the gear ratio with the sct x3's as well as many other things. You don't need a fancy touch screen tuner, they all have the same options.

Yeah I never got that GT. Lots of things have happened in my wife and i's life in the past year. I still look up GTs regularly....dreaming of the day haha.

I'm not sure about your rpms at 60 though, but conventional thought has always told me fuel economy really suffers when you go up to those higher gears. Although people on here claim differently, most say that so long as you stay below 70mph you should hardly notice major fuel differences.

I had two ford dealerships quote me at $1,000 for just the labor of swapping the gears out! Two performance shops quoted me at $325 for the same job. So be sure to shop around for a good price when you get your gears swapped.
