I would strongly suggest you do the install yourself though! You will learn a TON and save some big $$$!

Working on these cars is pretty easy.

Cams and LT's are a win-win, just like a CAI & tune; LT's compliment cams so they really work well together. The stock TB is up to the task so you'd be letting her breath and that's what it's all about.

I've read where Nuke has said this probably 50 times +1!

See sig. LTs and Cams on the way When I put those and the UDPs on my car, I'm hoping to be close to 340 rwhp.

You will need CMDPs with your proposed set up if you don't have them already. You may be close to your goal if those cams require new springs, otherwise you will probably be closer to 330 rwhp IMO.

Two of my fav videos...probably leaning toward this exhaust setup as well.
Pype LT's with o/r H
Cat's, im still on the fence. Both these exhaust do sound a little thin and raspy, would the cat's deepen the tone more?
Flowmasters in the first and Violators (what I already have) in the second.
I would like a combo of the two of course...the idle of the flows and the grunt on throttle of the pypes.
If anyone has audio of there cam setup...PLEASE POST THEM!

Cammit shopping list (so far)
Hot rod or Detriot cams...on the fence
Pypes LT's o/r H
CMDP's
Oil separator
Ford Racing black valve covers

any other sugestions for the shopping cart are always welcome

Another question...
How much hp am I giving up going with these cams compared to say some like THESE ??

Why do I need CMDPs? The cams are NSR, but I got them and the UDPs for $600 so I took the deal.

edit: Mayo, are you wanting to stick with NSR cams? I have the 127200s on the way, so I will let you know when I get a dyno done. I think the 127200s make a little more power, but you don't get much lope at all. My favorite NSR setup is this guy's. He posts on s197forum and is pretty nice if you want to ask him any questions.

Don't need them, but changing them out will get rid of the stock butterfly valves and will allow for better airflow at high rpms. Great mod to do with cam's for sure!!

Gotcha. Well if you find someone selling a used set I might pick them up. I was reallllllllly tempted to pick up this gt500 TB that is local for $45 today. The only problem is that it doesn't include the adapter, which will be $100, and i probably wouldn't get much benefit from it right now.

Technically you don't need them, but I recommend them!

I installed cams before my CMDPs and felt that the engine seemed starved for air before CMDPs. I spoke to Brent at Brenspeed and he suggested the CMDPs to open up the intake side and wow what a difference! Idle sounds more powerful and deeper, and low-end torque increased dramatically. Do what you want, but I highly suggest CMDP with cams!
