Also, replace the fuel filter and run a tank or 2 of the proper SeaFoam mix. Those steps will resolve most idle issues that are associated with varnish buildup and other dissolvable contaminants. I doubt that the CAI and tune are at fault (unless the CAI hasn't been cleaned, is clogged and starving the engine of air).

I know this is an old thread but I'm going through this issue too. I've never had an issue with the car but when I passed 100k I thought I should have tuned something up. Right now I've replaced the fuel filter and immediately had stalling problems when coming to a stop. After catching up on a lot of posts I decided that I didn't follow the proper process. I decided to start over by getting up on ramps, pull the fuel pump fuse and start the car. Mine wouldn't start but I let it keep turning over for a few seconds. Then pulled the negative battery terminal. Disconnected the fuel filter, blew out the gas that was inside it and re-installed it. This time I primed it 4 times by turning the key to on without starting it. Then I started it, warmed it up a little and did a 20 minutes test drive. Did not stall once so I'm hoping I have resolved whatever was wrong.
I've never cleaned the TB but after all the posts am thinking I should do that next. By chance is there a step-by-step out there? I'm tired of breaking my GT every time I try to do preventative maintenance.

Here's how to clean your throttle body. You will need throttle body cleaner and a rag.
I would also recommend cleaning the MAF sensor. All you need is MAF sensor cleaner, which you can get an any auto parts store. Take the MAF sensor out of the inlet tube, spray with the MAF sensor, give it a few minutes to dry and put back in inlet tube. Do not touch the face of the MAF sensor, hold from the sides.
Hope this helps!

Clean your throttle body. Remove throttle body, you'll need a 10mm and 8mm socket. Spray throttle body cleaner ( I just use brake cleaner, use at your own peril) and hold throttle blades open while wiping away cleaner and oily ****. Be sure to clean the edge of the throttle blades.
My wifes chrysler had a fluctuating idle and wanted to die when coming to a stop. I cleaned her TB and it had a nice layer of gunk build up around the throttle plates and on the edge of the throttle plates. That little bit of buildup restricts just enough air flow to cause problems.

Many thanks for the TB cleaning tip. Took no more than 30 minutes from start to finish for the TB and the MAF. It is amazing how much of a difference that made and it corrected my idling problem.
I'm going to enjoy the car for another week before I take on the front lower control arms. If there is any advice on what to watch out for I will be listening.
