brake transmission shift interlock HELP!!!
Hey folks,
I noticed a power drain on my Mustang GT (manual trans) - I only drive it on the weekends and due to weather and work I missed a weekend, only to find out that the battery died. Checking the voltages of my fuses while the vehicle was off I noticed that the brake transmission shift interlock circuit was drawing a fluctuating current of anywhere from 1.2A to almost 7A. Every other circuit drew nothing to a couple tenths of an amp.
This can't be normal, can it? Perhaps you Ford technicians out there can provide any suggestions as to where to go from here?
Mods include Flowmaster mufflers and Ford Racing/Whipple HO supercharger kit.
Any and all help is thoroughly appreciated. Thank you.
Mike
