Now that the front ends "look" the same, will a shelby gt500 hood from a 2011 model fit on the 2013 GTs or 6bangers? Or is there subtle differences that will keep it from fitting correctly?

i really don't see why any of the 10+ gt500 hoods wouldn't fit any 10+ mustang.

its all the same car minus a few tweaks as to which exact bumper or hood they got and powertrains.

people are already discussing puting some of the 13 tweaks on the older 10-12's.

What?? the 10-12 GT front end was totally different then a GT500. the hood would NOT fit cause of the grill difference and a whole front end conversion is needed. Now the 13's They probably would have no issue fitting the 10-13 GT500 hoods now cause the front end is basically the same setup.

the parts are interchangeable thats the point i was trying to make. the grill the plastic bumper and hood are all that would need to be swapped. wrench on a couple of pieces of plastic and a hood and your golden.

so your saying sure it would fit..all you need is to change out the front bumper, the support brackets to attach the bumper, get the fog lights for the new, new upper and lower grill, new splitter and then bam your golden fits right on. Thats not what the OP asked. he wants to know if its a just swap the hood and done. no needing to change the ENTIRE front end to make it fit. Thats a LOT more money to do all that then just remove hood and put on new hood.

yes, this is why im specifically asking for info on a ( 2013 ). I dont know why any other year came up...theres tons of info on the pre 13 conversion. 05x runner is right...

all I want to do is take off a hood off a 2011 GT500 and slap it right on my 2013. Looking like ill have to be a guinea pig and find out myself
