How Much HP/TQ Can a 05-07 GT Transmission Handle?
Just wondering what the braking point is plus whats a good amount of HP and TQ for the stock T-3650 manual transmission. Am guessing it can safely handle around 500 hp, not too sure has anyone figured it out?

I think 550 crank is a pretty safe bet, not for the stock clutch though. Whipple obviously feels comfortable with that amount of power on the stock transmission. I'm more worried about the rods. Replacing a transmission is relatively cheap and easy in comparison.

Depends on what you're going to be doing with the car.. A transmission can handle it easily if you're gently with and drive normally.. If your power shifting though don't expect it to last very long if you have a power adder.. Oh and the strength of a tranny is based on the torque the car is producing and not the power.. . Personally I would keep a stock clutch in their if you supercharge it, the clutch will go if before the transmission if you put too much torque on it. It's like a safety

Check this out, doesn't give HP rating but it gives torque. I'm not real sure if this will help but.. Here ya go anyway. Tremec Transmissions

Didn't you post a link not to long ago for things that start to fail at higher HP for our cars? It was a link to a performance company that had extensive experience in Mustangs. They documented for instance that at 400hp in an auto, the solenoids may give and that at 425 wrist pins start to get strained in the stock motor....?
