Well, after 5K+ miles on a new set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports, all I can say is this was money well spent. These are no doubt the best tires I have ever ridden on. Love 'em.

I am in the Phoenix area. So it's stays pretty warm year round. How cold do you think it would have to be to stop getting performance out of these tires?

I've driven in 17 degrees with my summer only tires and the traction was still good. If you live where there is a real winter, then you should have a winter beater.
