Hurst or MGW?

Hurst or MGW?
Next week I am ordering the adapter plate to put a TR3650 on my 4.0. It is out of a Shelby GT, so it has the Hurst shifter, but it doesn't have the handle. I will have to spend $60-$70 on a handle and ball for the Hurst Shifter.
That got me thinking, because originally I wanted an MGW short throw. Now that I have to buy another part for the Hurst shifter, I was wondering if I should just sell the Hurst shifter for $70. If I did that the difference between just buying the handle for the Hurst or biting the bullet and getting the MGW would be around $130.
So is the MGW worth the extra $130?

For my car, I got the MGW. I have felt some other shifters and I think they are all better than stock.
If my car came with say a Tri Ax, I don't think I would buy another shifter unless I just flat out hated it...therefore I don't think it would be worth getting the MGW unless you find out the Hurst sucks *****.

I have never owned or even tried a Hurst shifter so I can't comment on the differences, although I really like the retro look of the Hurst.
I can say that I installed a MGW in my 2006 GT and liked it so much that the first mod on my 2013 was the MGW shifter to replace the POS OEM. I was having trouble finding 3rd gear when going ***** to the walls, not any more...

Another vote for MGW as it is by far the best shifter for our cars. I started with a Pro 5.0 because I wanted to maintain the Hurst retro handle, but made the swap and have zero regrets.
You can have the best of both worlds by getting a Hurst handle modified to work with the MGW. I did this after installing my MGW, but ended up not caring for handle height and swapped it for one of their composite race *****.
