Default SLP vs Hurst Line Locks

Has anyone installed either the SLP M25002 or the Hurst 5671521 line locks on a 05-09 with ABS? I came across the Hurst unit and it looks nice, but I am just not sure how the install is. The SLP looks good also and is a little cheaper than the Hurst.

SLP is easier, cheaper and works flawlessly. I have installed two on two different S197s.

I have the SLP. Install was easy, but the solenoid failed after a couple of months. Got a replacement solenoid from SLP, and so far, so good. The worst part of the install is getting the stock line out.

I prefer dual solenoid kits for their clamping power and being located after the ABS box. I run the PMP kit with JEG'S solenoids and it works great.

I agree the dual is better but PMP is out of business, so unless someone has a parts list how do we build a dual kit using correct parts??

Well that sucks.

Unfortunately, the only way to do it properly would be to buy some steel brake line and a tubing bender/flare shaping tool.

sdonaghey,

I don't have much experience with the Hurst kit, but I've installed quite a few SLP line-lock kits on anything from SN95s, New Edge, to S197 Mustangs. The kit works flawlessly and I haven't found a need for dual solenoids either. Plus, the SLP comes with the correct size lining and all the hardware you need to finish. I highly suggest this option!
